Hello girls,
I hope you are all well and that you enjoyed Sports Day. Thank you for sending pictures of your activities, it was great to see everyone looking so healthy and happy.
Also thank you for sending your ‘Once Upon a Time..’ stories/newspaper article. I really enjoyed reading them and I know others will too in years to come.
As this is your last week in third class Ms. Moore and I thought it would be fun to dedicate this week to creating Art. I know many of you are drawing and being creative a lot of the time, but we have a challenge for you that will hopefully introduce you to some famous pieces of Art in a fun way.
It is called the ‘Getty Museum’ Art challenge and, to put it simply, you have to choose a piece of Art and try to recreate it using items you find outside or around your house! Here is a link to the website explaining the challenge in more detail

Take a look at some of the famous pieces of art on this website and choose one that catches your eye each day!

Below are some examples of other people’s recreations. Be as adventurous as you want, remember it’s just for fun and it doesn’t have to be exactly the same.
There will also be the biggest GAA training session taking place on the 24th of June (this Wednesday) at 11am. If you haven't signed up already, take a look at the separate blog post which will give you all the details for the session.
I am really looking forward to seeing your creations from the art activity and sharing them on the blog. Enjoy your last week ‘at school’.
Best wishes,
Ms. Meagher
P.S. Keep a very close eye on your emails on Friday :O. I may have a special surprise being emailed to each and every one of you for our last day of school 'together'. Here's a little clue......you might need your science cap on!!!!
